THE HEART OF A CHILD

I woke up this morning and I couldn't help but smile
because as I slept, Jesus reminded me what it was like
to have the heart of a child.

A heart not hardened from a life full of strife
an innocent heart full of love and life.
One that knows no hurt, no hate, nor pain.
Lord help me to have a heart like a child once again.

Now close your eyes and try to remember,
what it was like to have a heart so tender.
A heart unscathed, full of love and hope,
a heart who loves all and is non-judgemental,
a heart unbroken, still loving and gentle.

Lord please help me to feel this way forever,
mend my heart so I can see
when someone could use a helping hand from me.
Let me feel once again the freedom of a child,
to be concerned about others, and to help them smile.

Please give me a heart full of love and one that still believes
that everyone should be safe and happy and never in need.
Fill me full of happiness and hope,
and help me help others who are struggling to cope.
Help me to be an example for all to see
that because of Your love, there's been a change in me.

FROM A MOTHER'S VIEW

From a Mother's view

We often think of Jesus as God's only Son,
but let's not forget, He was also Mary's first one!
Mary gave birth to a special little boy
who filled her life with love and with joy.
She watched as He grew throughout the years,
heard Him laugh and dried His tears.
And as He grew into a man,
she watched Him preach throughout the land.
Then one night after her Son prayed,
the temple guards carried Him away.
He was arrested because He claimed to be
"The Son of Man" from Galilee.

"Crucify Him" the crowd would shout;
it didn't matter that Pilate had doubt.
With never a thought regarding His Mother
they crowned Him with thorns and rejoiced with each other.

Mary watched from a distance as they drove nails in His hands,
(the same ones she had washed when He was just a little man)!
And as she drew closer, she heard Jesus say...
"Father forgive them for they know not what they do",
as they hung a sign over His head that read, "King of the Jews".

It was about the ninth hour and darkness had already filled the land
and Mary didn't know how much more she could stand.
Then she heard Jesus utter, "Father into your hands I commit my Spirit",
surely her knees must have buckled, how could her heart bare it?

His Mother watched in horror as once again she heard Jesus cry,
"it is finished" and finally he died.
Then a soldier with a spear pierced Christ in His side
and there was no doubt, our Savior had died.
As blood and water ran down the foot of the cross,
God's plan was fulfilled...we now have a choice!

It breaks my heart to think of this Mother
who witnessed her Son's death, unlike any other.
Her first born son, an innocent man, now had died in order
to fulfill God's plan.

THE END OF YOUR "HOPE"

WHEN YOU'RE AT THE END OF YOUR ROPE

When you're at the end of your "hope" and full of despair,
your heart is broken and you think no one cares.
If you'll just get on your knees and open your heart,
and ask God to help you, the healing will start!

If you can't think about tomorrow because you're so full of gloom,
remember Jesus died and rose from the tomb.
He went to Heaven to prepare us a place
and gave us His spirit, His mercy and His grace.

His strength is sufficient to overcome all things,
for greater is He that is in you, than anything against you
that satan can bring.
